Introduction
This is GOK from Daily Shinjuku.
Just two minutes from Iidabashi Station, Osaka Gyoza Specialist YOSHIKO brings Osaka’s lively food spirit to Tokyo.
Run by the team behind “Osaka Yakiniku & Horumon Futago,” this cozy izakaya recreates the founder’s mother’s homemade dumplings—served in a nostalgic, Showa-era setting.
Inside the Restaurant

YOSHIKO Iidabashi has 32 seats divided between counter and table areas. Old Japanese pop songs play in the background, giving it a warm, retro feel. Orders are placed by scanning a QR code or by speaking directly to the staff.
Signature Dishes
Pan-Fried Gyoza (¥418 / two servings ¥836)
The meal begins automatically with a plate of gyoza. Thin, chewy wrappers with crispy bottoms enclose a sweet, garlicky filling that’s flavorful enough to eat without sauce. Season to taste with soy, chili oil, or vinegar-pepper.

Fried Gyoza (¥418)
Light and crisp one-bite dumplings—snackable and airy thanks to their thin skins.

YOSHIKO-Yaki (Omelet) (¥528)
A soft rolled omelet topped with sweet soy sauce, mayo, and pepper. Ideal between drinks and dumplings.

“Yamerarenai” Fried Mino (¥473)
Crispy deep-fried tripe seasoned with black pepper. Add shichimi for a spicy kick—it pairs perfectly with beer.
Toku-san’s “So-So” Fried Rice (¥715) + Half-Killed Kimchi (¥418)
The tongue-in-cheek name hides a satisfying bowl with hearty ingredients. The kimchi, spicy and umami-rich, complements the mild rice beautifully when mixed together.

Drinks & Atmosphere

Draft beer (¥528) and YOSHIKO’s signature lemon sour (¥528) come in playful glasses printed with “Yoshiko’s sayings.” Every detail radiates humor and warmth.
Summary

With its friendly staff, retro charm, and perfectly balanced dumplings, YOSHIKO Iidabashi is a great place to unwind with drinks and small plates. Note that a ¥220 appetizer fee applies, and gyoza are automatically served upon seating—perfect for casual evenings rather than quick lunches.
