Kabukicho in Shinjuku, known as Tokyo’s city that never sleeps, welcomes a new free magazine designed for international visitors. On August 16, TOKYU Kabukicho Tower launched “TOKYO CHEWY,” offering colorful tips and discoveries to make the most of a trip to Tokyo’s entertainment hub. Here are the details.

Proposing a “Pop and New” Way to Enjoy Kabukicho: TOKYO CHEWY

“TOKYO CHEWY” was created with the concept of “a city that becomes more flavorful the more you chew”—delivering colorful discoveries and hints from Kabukicho to help visitors enjoy their Tokyo journey even more.

This free magazine, written entirely in English, is published by TOKYU Kabukicho Tower to share the unique charm of Shinjuku Kabukicho and to contribute to realizing its vision as an “Entertainment City.”

Launch Issue and Distribution

The first issue was released on Saturday, August 16, 2025, with distribution at the Kabukicho BON ODORI festival venue, next to the KABUKICHO TOWER STAGE. To celebrate the launch, original fans and stickers were also handed out.

Afterward, the magazine will be available at the Shinjuku Tourist Information Center, nearby hotels, and participating stores. Distribution along certain Seibu Shinjuku Line stations is also planned.
