Enjoy Casual Sushi & Drinks at Sushiyoko Eatolumine Inside Shinjuku Station

Opened in April 2024 inside Shinjuku Station’s Eatolumine area, Sushiyoko Eatolumine Shinjuku is a standing sushi and takeout bar, perfect for quick stops during your commute or casual after-work drinks. Part of the “Standing Sushi Yokocho” group, it’s the brand’s fifth location in Tokyo.

With convenient access inside the station, the shop is ideal for solo diners and short visits. On our visit around 7 PM on a Friday, we found only a small wait despite being peak time.

    Menu Highlights at Sushiyoko Eatolumine

The interior offers around 16 standing spots. Across from the store, a ramen shop had long lines, but Sushiyoko was relatively easy to get into.

The menu includes winter specials like:

    • 7-Piece Winter Nigiri Set: ¥1,530
    • Premium Winter Nigiri: ¥2,530
    • Three Gunkan Nigiri: ¥850
    • Assorted Sashimi: ¥1,280
    • Ankimo (Monkfish Liver): ¥780
    • Grilled Squid Tentacles: ¥390
    • Green Tea Highball: ¥500
    • Cream Cheese in Soy Sauce: ¥390

Ordering is simple—drinks are ordered verbally, and sushi is selected by writing on a sheet.

    Recommended Dishes and Drinks

We started with a draft beer (¥650) and the signature Green Tea Highball (¥500). The highball was refreshing and paired well with the sushi, making it a recommended choice even for those unfamiliar with this drink.

As a snack before sushi, we had the Grilled Squid Tentacles (¥390)—a satisfying, lightly charred dish with mayo and garnish.

Next came the 7-Piece Winter Nigiri Set (¥1,530), including seasonal ingredients like shirako, buri, and medium-fatty tuna. Each piece was fresh and flavorful, especially the sweet, fatty buri.

    Other items we tried included:

    • Flounder Fin Nigiri (2 pieces): ¥320
    • Tamago Nigiri (2 pieces): ¥160
    • Seared Scallop Nigiri (2 pieces): ¥400

    All were fresh and delicious.
