Tokyu Kabukicho Tower in Shinjuku’s Kabukicho will host a special one-day event highlighting Minamiise Town in Mie Prefecture. “Minamiise Matsuri” brings local flavors and experiences to Tokyo, from a Mie tuna cutting show to hands-on activities and regional specialty sales.

“Minamiise Matsuri in Tokyu Kabukicho Tower” is designed to let visitors experience the appeal of Minamiise Town through food, activities, and local culture. The event features a tuna cutting show using Mie-produced tuna, plus activities such as packing mandarins, along with sales of Minamiise specialties—all packed into a single day.

The town’s mascot character “Taimii” is also scheduled to appear as a guest. In addition, to celebrate the event, Minamiise specialties such as “Katsuo Namabushi” and “Appappa-gai” will be sold at the 2F “Shinjuku Kabuki Hall – Kabuki Yokocho.”
