    Introduction
Hello, this is GOK from Daily Shinjuku.

This time, I visited “Yokohama Iekei Ramen Tetsuya Ichigaya”, a new ramen shop that opened in May 2025 just a short walk from Ichigaya Station. With direct training at the legendary Yoshimuraya and even a touch of Komuro Family flair, this shop has quickly become a must-visit for ramen lovers.

“Yokohama Iekei Ramen Tetsuya Ichigaya” opened on May 1, 2025.

The owner trained at both Yoshimuraya, the birthplace of Iekei ramen, and Oudouya, another highly regarded ramen shop. Since its opening, long lines have formed daily, making it one of the hottest ramen spots in Ichigaya.

Located along Togo-dori Street, just off Yasukuni-dori, the shop attracts both locals and ramen enthusiasts willing to queue. Even at 1:00 p.m. on a weekday, I found a line of customers already waiting.

Despite the line, the staff’s clear guidance made the wait smooth and stress-free. For first-time visitors, this level of attentiveness makes the experience very approachable.

The shop offers 23 seats: counter seating at the front and back, plus several tables on the left-hand side. With fast turnover, even during lunch breaks you can enjoy your ramen without much delay.

Inside, you’ll notice photos of Yoshimuraya’s founder Yoshimura-san, as well as a signed board from Tetsuya Komuro. Appropriately, Komuro Family songs play as BGM, adding a unique twist to the atmosphere.

    Chashu Ramen and Standard Ramen

I ordered the Chashu Ramen (¥1,160) with Regular Rice (¥250), choosing firm noodles. The bowl featured an extra two slices of chashu compared to the standard ramen.

The broth was remarkably thick and salty, as noted on the ticket machine’s warning “extremely rich flavor.” The noodles, sourced from Yasui Seimen, were medium-thick and chewy, holding up well against the intense soup. The chashu resembled roast pork — lean and flavorful — while classic toppings like spinach and nori rounded out the bowl.

A second order of Standard Ramen (¥960) came with Half Rice (¥150) and a soft-boiled egg. Even the smaller portion of rice was more than enough to complement the rich broth. Adding chopped ginger or a splash of vinegar created a milder, refreshing finish.

    Conclusion

“Yokohama Iekei Ramen Tetsuya Ichigaya” is a new hotspot combining authentic Yoshimuraya techniques with a unique flair.

Although prices may feel slightly high, the shop’s rich broth, well-balanced noodles, and efficient service make it a satisfying experience. Particularly during the hot summer months, when salt intake is welcome, this chashu ramen truly hits the spot.

If you’re in the Ichigaya area, this ramen shop is definitely worth visiting.
